The general manager of Accra Great Olympics, Oloboi Commodore has called on club owners to discuss with the players on how to deal with the financial problems caused by the corona virus pandemic by accepting lower pay.
According to him, clubs find it difficult to pay players salaries even when the league is on.
Therefore, the club owners need to discuss with the players to accept pay cut.
“Already some Ghanaian clubs find it difficult to pay their players so I think in this pandemic era, club owners should discuss with their players on a possible pay cut,” he said
He added that, some clubs have adopted it in Europe so it will not be out of order when they practice same here.
“It’s better we call the players and inform them because even some European clubs have adopted to that” he added
Mr. Commodore said this in an interview with Otec FM in Kumasi.
Pay cut has now been a global discourse due to the corona virus pandemic.
