Astres of Douala have resumed training with their 2019 Under 17 AFCON winning coach Olivier Nankam as they start preparation for their for the 2019 Cameroon League one playoffs to begin this weekend in Limbe.
The Tactician was missed by Astres for over a month while he was away to prepare the Cameroon team that won the 2019 Under 17 AFCON trophy in Tanzania.
Coach Nankam left Astres in a relatively comfortable (2nd place) in the log before his departure for the AFCON but unfortunately poor form while he was away couldn’t keep Astres away from the troubles of the relegation playoffs.
The Astres of Douala players worked with coach Nankam on Monday in Douala and have continued fine-tuning strategies ahead their opening game this Sunday against Fovu of Baham in Limbe.
Cameroon’s prime Minister Dion Ngute recently decorated Caoch Olivier Nankam alongside other members of the Cameroon team that won the just ended Under 17 AFCON trophy in Tanzania. The trophy is the gaffer’s third trophy in the last 3 years as fitness coach of the Under 17 Lions of Cameroon.
