The families of the eight victims who lost their lives on the January 24 Olembe stampede, were offered 10,million each at the Centre region Governor services by Governor Naseri Paul Bea this Friday,February 25 afternoon.
The handing over ceremony began, with the reading of a condolence message from the Head of State President Paul Biya by the Governor.
According to Governor Bea, 4 million CFAF is meant for the organization of the deceased funerals. Meanwhile, 6 million serves as a support to the bereaved families.
Speaking on behalf of the afflicted families, was one of the parents who extended words of gratitude to the Head of State, for the kind gesture towards his fellow peers and him.
The Centre region civil administrator ended by thanking all the families, for being so patient and appreciated their high sense of understanding towards the management of the unforgettable incident by the state.
