The newly appointed Chairman of Gombe United FC, Dr. Olanre Daniel has vowed to rebrand the club through the reintroduction of the feeder team and formation of an Elite Development Squad (EDS) for U-15 and U-13 categories. can report.

He was speaking during the handing over ceremony which took place at the VIP1 room of the Pantami stadium.
While appreciating the Governor Inuwa Yahaya for the confidence reposed in him Mr. Olanre who until his appointment was a Permanent Member Gombe State Sports Commission (GSSC), assures to lure private investors in order to reduce the burden on the shoulders of the state government.

“In some years to come; God willing Gombe United will not be relying solely on the government as it will engage private organizations and generate income through players transfer deals”, he added.

The Ex- Gombe United Player and the Kangiwa Hakimin Doma explained that his first assignment is to work assidously with his board members to ensure they bring back the lost glory of the club by gaining promotion back to the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL from the Nigeria National League, NNL.

Earlier, the outgoing chairman, Musa Sule Jasper expressed gratitude to Governor Inuwa Yahaya for the mandate; the staff; the technical crew and players for their support.

Meanwhile, the leadership of Gombe State All Stars FC under Alhaji Danjuma Baba has paid a solidarity visit to the newly appointed chairman of Gombe United FC, Dr. Olanre Daniel in his office.
The chairman and his vice, Danjuma Baba and Magistra Bello Sheriff said they deemed it fit to come and rejoice with one of their own and to offer him advice on how to turn around the fortunes of the club.
They urged him to carry everyone along and some stooges to mislead him; praying for Allah’s guidance in the discharge of his duties.

While assuring GSSC’s undiluted support, the Executive Chairman Hamza Adamu Soye called for unity and support from all stakeholders.

Contributing, Gombe United’s board members- Abubakar Yellow, Alhaji Bappah Burah and Bulus Plando expressed joy for the visit by the former Gombe United players which according to them is a motivating factor and hope they would work in synergy to propel the Savannah Scorpions back to the elite league.

Chipping- in, Mohammed Buba Dattuwa described the appointment of Dr. Lanre aka Terry as a right peg in the round hole and prayed for his success.

In a vote of thanks, the secretary of the club Labiru Garba appreciated Gombe All Stars for the concern and show of love praying for the relationship to continue to wax stronger.

The delegation was accompanied by the All Stars Chief Coach Auwal Bako Bako, the Secretary Haruna Garba (Magic), Abubakar Usman (Wilkins) and Salisu Shuaibu Umar.
