Coach and President of Royaltoms International Football Academy (RIFA) have commended clubs that will be participating at the Eight Teams Invitational Challenge Women Football Pre-Season Tourney.
The Tourney which is aimed at preparing clubs in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship and Nationwide leagues ahead of the 2021 season will kick off on Thursday, March 18, 2021.
“It’s good that teams come out for this Preseason as it’s an opportunity for talent showcasing and development.
“I want to commend all teams for coming and giving their girls this opportunity to prepare ahead of the NWFL season and mostly Imo Angels from Owerri and Fortress Ladies from Benin.” He told www.kick442.com.
The coach of one of the participating clubs at the Pre-Season Tourney, Royaltoms Queens’ Olajide Royal says women’s football in Nigeria is getting high-level concentration in Nigeria.
He said: “I’m so happy this is becoming real because women’s football is getting more awareness and people are beginning to give a high level of concentration on the women football in Nigeria.
At the end of this Preseason tournament, I believe the players and the coaches would have been able to see more and experience more about the football game and have a taste of what to expect in the coming League season of NWFL.”

Royaltoms Queens has produced players for the NWFL Premiership clubs and the female national teams Innocent Patricia (Sunshine Queens), Mamuzo Edafe (Delta Queens), Egbulu Oghogho (Delta Queens), Blessing Sunday (Osun Babes), among other players.

Olajide Royal opined that the club will continue to discover more talents which will be to the advantage of women’s football in Nigeria.
“We will continue to be doing our best to make sure women football gain more ground and grow massively in the country.” He concluded.
The Eight Teams Invitational Challenge Women Football Pre-Season Tourney will take place at Joju Football Pitch, Sango Ota, Ogun State, from 18th to 23rd March 2021.
Royaltoms Queens, Unification FC, Prince Kazeem Eletu FC, FC Phoenix Queens, Fortress Ladies, Osklean FC, Imo Angels, and SGH Queens will compete at the competition.
