Cameroon has a new reliable central defender in 22-year-old Harold Moukoudi.
With every passing passing the towering figure is winning new fans with every passing.
Wounded with blood all over his right patellar knee in Monday’s win against Mozambique in Maputo, Moukoudi played on till the end, neutralizing multiple incursions from the Mozambican forwards.
Moukoudi surprised a handful last year when he snubbed the chance to chase a place in the French national selection and opted to represent his country of descent, Cameroon.
He was just just 21 and as a regular at French Ligue Un side AS Saint Etienne.
Moukoudi made his debut for Cameroon in a virgin draw against Tunisia and since then Cameroon has conceded just a goal with the former Boro defender on the pitch.
Six games into his international career, Moukoudi is already likened to the legendary Rigobert Song and baring the same jersey number 4.
