Plans have been concluded on the maiden Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Media Cup for journalists in Ogun State.
The competition according to SWAN Secretary, Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji is a 5-Aside Football among practicing journalists in the state.
The competition is sponsored by the popular fast-rising eatery outlet, Opulent Hub.
The football tourney designed in a knockout format will hold between March 24 – 31st.
Ogunsiji said all media stations in Ogun state and chapels under the umbrella of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council are expected to participate in the two-week event.
He said all matches will be played the fun turf of MKO Abiola International stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.
He noted that the competition is foster unity and camaraderie among journalists in the state.
The Association, therefore, urged all media stations and NUJ Chapels to endeavour to participate in this unification game.
