The Executive Chairman of Ikenne Local Government,
Hon. Olusegun Ogunleye has applauded the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his efforts aimed at empowering youths through sports.
While speaking with pressmen on Wednesday during the Ikenne Local Government wing of the 2021 Ogun State Mind Games Festival, he praised the Governor for the idea of the festival.
He said: “I want to thank our Executive Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his love towards the people of Ogun State in moving this state forward. He made sure that the Ministry of Youth and Sports is active with his support. With these games, we can see those that loved draught and ayo olopon here for relaxation purposes. This will also make them live longer. The Governor has done a lot to engage our youths in a bid to curb crime rates.”

Ikenne residents throng the venue of the Mind Games at the Local Government Secretariat Hall to display their talents in draught, ayo olopon, and chess with Ogun State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde, and Director of Sports, Mrs.. Rotimi Folakemi in attendance.
The event which ought to have been concluded last year was shifted to 2022 due to Sports Federations elections.
The next leg of the Ogun State Mind Games will now move to Sagamu on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Sagamu Town Hall from 11 am.
The Mind Games are holding across the 20 Local Government Areas of the state.
