Rivers Angels forward, Alice Ogebe who scored an outstanding goal as Rivers Angels defeated Sunshine Queens 4-0 to win the 2021 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership says it was a good experience for her to win the league after returning to the Port Harcourt based side.
“This is not my first league title but it is so special to me after the past months of difficulties as far as my career was concerned after leaving Poland.” She told www.kick442.com.
Alice Ogebe rounded off three Sunshine Queens defenders to slot in her second goal of the NWFL Premiership Super 6 on Sunday.
She scored her first goal at the 2021 NWFL Premiership Super Six on Friday, April 22, 2021, as Rivers Angels defeated Edo Queens 4-0.
She said: “The NWFL Premiership title means a lot to me and my career. It’s a morale booster for me ahead of the CAF Women’s Champions League.”
Rivers Angels will represent Nigeria at the Inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League after winning the 2021 NWFL Premiership title with eleven points from five games.
Alice Ogebe returned to Rivers Angels after she was released by the Polish Ekstraliga club, KKP Bydgoszcz last year.
She scored four goals for KKP Bydgoszcz in the 2020 Polish Ekstraliga season.
