Former Super Eagles forward, Bartholomew Ogbeche was on target for his Indian Super League (ISL) side, Mumbai City as they defeated ATK Mohun Bagan 2-0 on Sunday.
Ogbeche scored the second goal of the game to put the game beyond their opponent in the 39th minute.
Senegal’s Mourtada Fall scored the opening goal of the game for Mumbai City in the seventh minute before Ogbeche, 36, doubled their lead as he played for the duration of the game.
He has scored eight goals with two assists for Mumbai City this season since he joined them from another Indian side, Kerala Blasters before the beginning of the season.
Mumbai City occupied the first position on the Indian Super League table with 40 points from 20 games, the same point as second-placed ATK Mohun Bagan.
Ogbeche featured for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the course of the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Korea/Japan under the tutelage of Coach Adegboye second-placed as Nigeria crashed out of the group stage alongside Argentina at the expense of Sweden and England.
