Reigning French Champions Paris Saint Germaine have the completed the signing of 29 year old Senegalese midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye from Everton.
Gueye signed a 4- year contract worth close to 30 million £
“ I will do everything to justify the faith (PSG) have shown in me and to integrate into this talented squad,” Gueye said after completing his move.
A long time target for Paris Saint Germain who have been in search of a hard tackling midfielder, 29 year old Idrissa Gana Gueye has finally made the switch from Merseyside to the French capital.
The deal was sealed after the midfielder passed his routine medical.

Gueye is a product of the popular Diambars Academy in Senegal and moved from the Academy to Lille in 2008 and played for the B team for two years before becoming a member of the first team squad in 2010.
He spent five years with Lille, playing 134 games and scoring five goals for them and above all winning the French League title with them in 2010/2011 season.
He has returned to a league he knows very well.
He then moved to Aston Villa in England in 2015.
He has also represented Senegal 64 times and was part of their team that lost the 2019 AFCON final to Algeria.
Gueye joint Everton from Aston Villa for 7milion £ in 2016 and will be leaving for a deal of 25million £ after making a 108 appearances for the Toffees in all competitions.
Gueye is the second player to leave Everton which the club would have liked to keep given their quality. The other highly rated player to have left is Ademola Lookman who has signed for German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.
Idrissa Gueye won 89 of the 142 tackles he attempted last season, only Leicester City’s Wilfrid Ndidi won more (99 in a 142 attempted), but it should be noted that Ndidi played five more games than Gueye.
He also completed 75 interceptions in his 33 league games, which was the sixth highest in the English Premier league last season.

Everton have made some significant signings of their own to make up for these departures. English midfielder Fabian Delph has joint them from Manchester City, they have made the loan deal for 25 year old Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes a permanent deal, and another pair of safe hands have been brought in through 30 year old Danish goalkeeper Jonas Bybjerg Lössl from Huddersfield.
Everton’s Portuguese coach Marco Silva seem to have everything under control.
