46 years old former fitness coach of the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon,Alain Djeumfa Defrasne has been promoted to the rank of the head coach of the Senior Women’s team of Cameroon.
Djeumfa replaces Joseph Ndoko.Ndoko guided Cameroon to a third place finish in the 2018 AWCON in Ghana earning a world Cup spot for Cameroon.
Ndoko leaves after 15 games as head coach of Cameroon, he registered 9 wins and just 3 defeats in those outing but his team fell before eternal rival on post match penalties in the AWCON after he also missed out on success to South Africa in the final of the COSAFA Women’s tournament.
Djeumfa a former coach of local side,Aigle Royal just like Ndoko.He takes total control of the Cameroon Women’s team after several years of service as fitness coach of the team and will be assisted by former Lioness captain,Anong Bernadette.
Djeumfa was in Ghana late last year as one of the fitness coaches of the team.He now has the task of guiding Cameroon in the world cup in the summer in France and why not improve the 16 finals finish registered by coach, Enow Ngachu’s team in 2015.
Cameroon face Holland,Canada and New Zealand in this Summer’s world cup in France.
