The process is now complete. There is a handshake between all the 3 countries next to the hosting rights ; Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Guinea. It came in as a real shocker to many when the CAF boss, Ahmad Ahmad and his executive announced from Ghana that Cameroon was not prepared to host a 24 team African Nation’s Cup.
In a consensus with the President of the republic (Alassane Ouattara), with Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) officials also in attendance, the decision was made this Tuesday.

But the past two months have witnessed a tremendous turn of events due to the little twitch on the 2019 Nation’s Cup. A ready-made host emerged in Egypt, and CAF just had to compensate Cameroon for their efforts. The three hosting countries are now done and dusted ;
Courtesy this meeting, the (FIF) would now withdraw the appeal it made to the Court of Arbitration for Sports over the dates.
