Cameroon international Frank Mbella Etouga has penned a two-year-deal with Egyptian Premier League side Al Masry Sporting Club barely hours after arriving the country.
The player who was spotted at the Cairo international Airport on Saturday, September 17 has completed formalities for the switch.
According to our sources, the 21-year-old Mbella of Royal Soccer Scout Management agency has been transfered for a fee of $400 000 and a net monthly salary of $25000.
Mbella who scored 21 goals, provided four assists in 30 Ghana Premier League games, helping Kotoko win a 24th GPL title last season will continue his career in Egypt.
The uncapped Cameroon international on his 21st birthday leaves Kotoko with a huge return on their investment as they picked him up for only $20 000 last October.
The move to Egypt will mean the Cameroon under-20 international who previously played for AS Fortuna before moving to Ghana becomes the second Cameroonian plying his trade in the Egyptian top-flight championship – following the steps of Jonathan Ngwem II of Future FC.
Coach Ehab Galal has a lightening forward with exceptional technical knowhow to count on for the rest of the 2022/23 season and beyond.
Mbella has been registered and could make his debut on October 18 against Zamalek in the Egyptian Super Cup.
