Ambitious NFD outfit Sekhukhune United have completed the signing of 26-year old Cameroonian defensive midfielder Junior Awono.
The second tier side completed formalities to sign the former Stellenbosch FC box-to-box midfielder this week and Awono is already training with the rest of the squad.
Awono is no stranger to South African football as he had an excellent 2019 season for Stellenbosch FC and even won the player of the season Award as his side earned promotion to the PSL.
The former Intermediate Lions of Cameroon skipper is already familiar face in the Sekhukhune environment.
Sekhukhune United currently top the second tier championship and are on a mission to earn promotion to the DStv Premiership.
Awono could debut for the Club this weekend in championship assignment.
Awono has achieved promotion to the top-flight before and may just bring the required in achieving that feat.
