French Ligue 1 side SCO Angers have confirmed their 30-year-old Cameroonian forward Stephane Cedric Bahoken will leave the club in tandem with our announcement last week.
The club took to social media to confirm the move this Tuesday with the words “thank you Stephane.”
Bahoken scored thrice and provided an assist in 28 appearances for Angers in the ongoing but unfortunately that couldn’t convince Gérald Baticle to keep him at the Raymond Kopa Stadium from next season.
Therefore, the ex Strasbourg scorer featured against Montpeillier in his 120th and final game for the club he joined in 2018.
During four years at Angers, Bahoken scored 28 goals and provided seven assists in a roller-coaster stint.
There have been reports linking the former Nice goal getter to a move to China among others but at the moment there is no certainty.
With the exception of the brief spell at St Mirren FC in Scotland, Bahoken has spent the rest of his career in France thus making him a familiar face to many french clubs, which enhances the chance of another deal in France.
ln the international scene, the striker who represented France at youth levels has scored for goals in 28 appearances for Cameroon since switching allegiance in 2018.
