The joint top goal scorer at the 2021 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Nationwide League, Ijebu Ode centre, and Oasis Ladies player, Dolapo Ariori says mixing football with school is a herculean task but adequate planning helped her keep pace with the huge tasks.
“It’s not been easy combining education with football but I have to plan my schedules so that I can train after school. At times if I have morning training, then I go to school in the afternoon because most of my classes hold in the afternoon. Although it’s not easy, one has to do the needful.” The final year Mass Communication student of Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) told www.kick442.com.
Ariori opened her goal account for Oasis Ladies FC as they defeated Aseyori Queens 1-0 in the knock-out stage of the 2021 NWFL Nationwide.
More goals-against Royaltoms Queens (2), FC Phoenix (1), and Moje Queens (1) ensured that she finished as the joint top goal scorer from Ijebu Ode centre with five goals from five games as she dreams of playing for FC Barcelona just like Asisat Oshoala.
“Outside Nigeria, I will like to play for FC Barcelona. My role model is Mohamed Salah because I like the way he runs and scores goals for Liverpool FC.
“For women footballer, Rasheedat Ajibade is my role model. She was my schoolmate at Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) in my final year.” She concluded.
Dolapo Ariori and Oasis Ladies FC gained promotion to the NWFL Championship from Ijebu Ode centre with 10 points from five games, the same points with Dannaz Ladies.
