Oluwaseun Babatunde winner of the 2019 NWPL Journalist of the year award

Oluwaseun Oyedijii, kick442.com-Nigeria correspondent has been nominated for the category of best journalist covering the Nigerian Women Professional League, NWPL.

The 2019 NWPL Naija Women Awards is to celebrate excellence portrayed by women, League Players, coaches, administrators, sponsors and journalists during the past season.

The last playoffs to gain promotion saw Pelican Stars and Olori Babes of Warri gaining promotion to the NWPL and Oluwaseun Oyedijii was instrumental in giving the playoffs and the league the media exposure it deserves.

Oluwaseun Oyedijii joined kick442.com in March 2019 and started covering the Nigeria Women Premier League from Match Day 2 till Match Day 6. During this period, he gave match previews, reports, results, reviews, team of the week and the Relegation Playoffs plus the recently concluded NWFL Pro-League Playoffs.

Oluwaseun Oyedijii is a volunteer Literature in English teacher in a secondary school.
A graduate of History from University of Ilorin.
Presently a Masters student of department of history and International studies, University of Ilorin. He is passionate about research and writing. And as far as sports writing is concerned, he doesn’t discriminate any sports or tournament.

He has won two notable essay competitions; 2011 Research Institute for world history (RIWH, Tokyo, Japan) Award for World History from Africa and 2013 January MySpur Essay competition.
