The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), Alhaji Ayo Abdulrahman, has announced the postponement of one of the Week 5 games in the Nigeria Women Premier League.

The NWFL boss in a letter sent to Sunshine Queens of Akure, said, the postponement of the Week 5 game between home team, Nasarawa Amazons and Sunshine Queens became necessary following the application for postponement of the Week 4 match earlier scheduled for Wednesday, September 4, 2019, by the host, whose home ground, the Lafia Township Stadium, will be used for political activities by the Nasarawa State government from September 3 to 6th, 2019.

The Chief Operating Officer noted that, according to the regulations of the NWFL, the postponed game must be played before the Week 6 fixture of the NWPL.
In view of this, the Week 5 NWPL game will now hold at the Lafia Township Stadium, on Saturday, September 7, 2019.
