Abia Angels football club of Aba could not get the desired three points at the Warri township stadium in week two of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership game with host Royal Queens football club nicking all three points.
The match commenced after delays by the match officials due to the heavy downpour hours before the match had to allow the staff of the stadium to work on the waterlogged pitch by draining the flooded pitch.

The first 45 minutes was difficult for both teams as they struggle to play on the wet pitch despite making incursions into the penalty area with the home team pushing for early goal despite making quick substitution as Neti Yunusa came in for Igwe Onyiyechi in the 36th minutes
but did not yield any result as the visiting Abia Angels defenders led by Magret Ademulegun, Miracle Usani, and Immaculate Offiong covered effectively for goalkeeper Jiwuaku Linda in goal to make it a barren first half.
Royal Queens football club came into the second 45 minutes looking a better team with another quick substitution as Chika Idika came in for Kehinde Agamuyi to propel the home team attack but the Abia Angels defence line proved difficult to break also turning defence into attack when a left-footed pass from Offor Merit to Jane Abraham whose effort was not enough to get a goal and the home team kept the heat but it paid off when Rosemary Adesina slot home the ball into the net to make sure Royal Queens get the maximum points in the 73rd minute and every effort by the visiting Abia Angels team to at least get a point was not possible as the home garner all three points for the day.
