The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Pro-League Playoffs continues on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 with victory for Olori Babes and Police Machine.

In the first game of the day, a 20th minute goal from Osazee Enoma from a rebound after Ifunanya Ugwu’s cross gave Olori Babes a 1-0 victory over Pelican Stars.

In the second batch of the day which was a five (5) goal thriller, Police Machine bounced back from opening day defeat to secure a 3-2 win over Moje Queens. Police Machine went ahead with an early goal in the 5th minute courtesy Chiamaka Okwuchukwu. Moje Queens Equalised in the 19th minute when Joy Ikott took advantage of a goalmouth scramble situation to Equalise for the Erin-Ile Ladies. But Moje Queens restored their lead in the 26th minute when Moje Queens goal keeper, Abubakar Jimoh gifted the ball to Chiamaka Okwuchukwu who wasted no time in slotting home for her third goal of the Pro-League Playoffs. She completed her hatrick in the 32nd minute as she went solo beating substitute goalie Hussaini Christiana to make it 3-1 in favour of Police Machine.
Chiamaka Okwuchukwu scored an own goal in the 46th minute of the game to reduce the deficit for their opponent.

With the recent results, Olori Babes are as good as promoted to the Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) with six (6) points from two (2) games while Pelican Stars and Police Machine will know their fate on Friday, October 11, 2019 when the last set of matches will be played. There is rest day for the competition on Thursday, October 10, 2019.
