Bayelsa Queens defeated Rivers Angels to emerge as winners of 2019 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Champions Shield. The champions shield which is replica of English Community Shield was played between the winners of Nigerian Women Football League and Aiteo Cup Champions was played at Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenegoa, capital city of Bayelsa state.
Uzoamaka Igwe scored the first goal for Bayelsa Queens in the 43rd minute as first half ended 1-0 in favour of Bayelsa Queens.
Late in the second half, Bayelsa Queens sealed the victory with an 80th minute goal from Lucky Odiri.
