Coach Abayomi Olorunda has resigned his duty as the gaffer of Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) side, Royal Queens of Warri, Delta State, www.kick442.com reports.
The coach who guided the nascent Club to NWFL Premiership promotion in October 2019 confirmed to www.kick442.com on Monday that he resigned due to personal reasons ahead of the 2020/2021 NWFL Premiership season which is slated to kick off on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
Abayomi Olorunda helped Royal Queens (established in 2019 as Olori Babes) to gain promotion from the NWFL Pro-League (now NWFL Championship) after defeating Pelican Stars, Moje Queens, and Police Machine.
His last assignment with the Canadian Geese was during the 2020 Flying Officers Cup where he guided the team to a 1-1 draw against Edo Queens and an emphatic win against Kaduna Queens after losing to Naija Ratels FC as Royal Queens crashed out of the group stage.
