Simy Nwankwo scored two goals for struggling Italian Serie A side, Crotone as they defeated Torino 4-2 on Sunday.
Simy put his side ahead from the penalty spot in the 27th minute when he slotted the ball low into the middle of Salvatore Sirigu’s goal.
Cristian Ansaldi handled the ball with his hand before the penalty was awarded to Crotone.
Rolando Mandragora pounced on a loose ball inside the box and beats Crotone goalkeeper with a shot into the middle of the net to equalise for the visitors in the 45th minute.
Simy Nwankwo was at the right place at the right time in the 54th minute to get to the rebound inside the box and gleefully rifled the ball low inside the left post to give Crotone a 2-1 lead.
Ten minutes from full time, Arkadiusz Reca received a great pass and strikes a very powerful shot towards goal that goes inside of the right post.
Antonio Sanabria scored an incredible goal for Torino in the 84th minute. He received a pass, made some space for himself, and unleashed a long-range thunderbolt of a shot past the goalkeeper into the top right corner.
In the additional time, Tomas Rincon made a bad challenge and received a second yellow card which reduced Torino to ten men.
Adam Ounas made a solo run and pulled the trigger from inside the box, beating Salvatore Sirigu with a precise strike that ricocheted in off the left post.
Simy Nwankwo has scored ten goals in 26 Serie A games this season for Crotone.
Crotone still occupied the last position on the league table with 15 points from 26 games.
They will travel to play Lazio in their next game on March 12, 2021.
