Cameroon striker Jean Pierre Nsame is one of four African Players in the team of the week in Switzerland’s top flight.
The Douala born 25 years old striker has scored 10 goals in 21 games this season. He earned a place in the Swiss top flight team of the week after his brace last weekend against Young Boys of Bernes’ eternal rivals FC Basel 1893 in a 2-2 draw. The former SCO Angers and Servette forward was joint in the team of the week by his 21 years old Guinean teammate Mohammed Aly Camara. The young Guinean defender is one of the most regular in coach Gerardo Seoane’s team. Young Boys are the defending champions of the Swiss Super League and the 12 times champions have opened up a 21 points gap at the top of the table after 25 playing days over FC Basel 1893.
FC Basel’s Swiss born 18 years old Nigerian attacker Noah Okafor also made the team after scoring Basel’s equalizer at the 53rd minute in that 2-2 with Young Boys.
FC Zurich’s 21 years old Nigerian Striker Stephen Odey is the fourth African in the team thanks to his 76th minute winning strike in their 2-1 win against Neuchattel Xamax.
The eleven players are from five clubs, with two from Young Boys, three FC Basel, three from FC Zurich, two from Lugano and one from FC Luzern.
