Indomitable Lions of Cameroon forwards Jean-Pierre Nsamé and Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu of Young Boys Berne have dragged their Clubs to the group stage of the 2020-2021 UEFA Europa League with telling contributions in this Thursday’s final qualifiers game against Tirana.
Two of the three Cameroon-eligible players, Nsamé and Ngamaleu were in from the start, while Siebatcheu was left on the bench.
Nsamé scored twice while Ngamaleu recorded an assist as Young Boys display their class in what turned out to be an easy ride for coach Gerardo Seoane Castro’s team.
Though they won in an emphatic style, it was a slow start for the host at the Stade de Suisse.
It took 42 minutes for forward Christian Fassnacht to get the first goal for Young Boys, connecting an assist from Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu.
The game stayed on the one-nil score till the half-time break.
Seven minutes upon resumption, Nsamé made it two-nil, before adding a third and final goal of the game in the 64th minute.
With the game already decided going into the last 20 minutes coach Gerardo looked to the bench for fresh legs.
Nsamé left his place for Siebatcheu in the 73rd minutes, barely six minutes after Ngamaleu had also been taken off and replaced by Gaudino Gianluca.
There was no goal in the remaining minutes leaving the full-time score at three-nil for Young Boys Bern.
For the second season in a row, the Swiss Super League Champions will compete in the UEFA Europa League.
The Club’s attention immediately switch to their Swiss Super League game against FC Vaduz this weekend.
