Ibrahim Sanusi of Nassarawa United has been declared the highest goal scorer in the just concluded regular season of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The disciplinary records which is the second consideration to break a tie favoured Sanusi who only bagged a yellow card all through the season as against two recorded for Udoh.
Meanwhile, it is official that Sunusi will now take Eunisell Two million Naira prize money for scoring ten goals in a regular season. One goal is N200K.
The two players had been tied on ten goals at the end of the regular season and no other consideration had been able to decide who wins the golden boot for the abridged 2018/2019 season.
The LMC through its head, Mallam Sheu Dikko had announced that the highest goal scorer chat will not to be carried over to the Super six tournament as the regular season had ended and the Super Six which the LMC regards as the Championship Playoffs is to determine who wins the league and the teams to represent the country in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.
Ufom Udoh has started on a high flying start at the beginning of the season only to see scoring goals almost every match but unfortunately he couldn’t get his goal scoring boot continuously as the season gets to the end.
