Lobi Stars Sikiru Alimi had the final laugh as his 42nd minute strike was all that Lobi Stars needed to be able to triumph over his former club, Sunshine Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match Week 14 final game played on Monday, April 8, 2019.

Lobi Stars started the game like house on fire but in the 20th minute
Sunshine had an attempt. Dayo Ojo fires a shot from way out. Lobi Stars goal keeper Lawrence gathers with ease.

In the 26th minute,
Lobi’s Otakho Aghahowa’s volley takes a deflection off a Sunshine player and goes off target. The 34th minute saw Sunshine’s Dayo Ojo threads a pass through to Omaka who drags his shot off target as Long Stars went into the dugout with a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Sunshine made a substitution in the 49th minute as Kolade Adeniji replaced Israel Abia.
The 59th minute of the game saw
Sunshine’s Egbeta’s freekick hits the wall and the follow-up shot by same player is saved by Lobi keeper Lawrence.

Sunshine stars in search of an Equaliser in the 78th minute saw Omaka’s pass picked out Sasere who hits his attempt over Lawrence’s post.

This result sees Lobi Stars move closer to top 3 spot in Group A. The club is now in the 4th position with 20 points behind MFM FC (23 points), Rangers and Enyimba (both on 21 points)
