Ahead of their match day 11 NPFL fixture at the Soccer Temple, some Lagos fans have thrown their support behind struggling MFM FC of Lagos.
The Olukoya Boys last tasted a win in the match day 3 of the NPFL in the South West derby against Sunshine Stars of Akure and have since gone seven matches without a win, surpassing their former record of six winless streak in the process, and this had led to some changes in the management of the team as the coach have been temporarily suspended.
Speaking to kick442.com, a concerned fan of the club who pleaded to be anonymous said the team will definitely overcome this tough time and believes the game against Adamawa United will be a turn around for the Olukoya Boys.
“We’ve seen the struggles of the team this season but I’m very sure the we will bounce back.
“Although the last few years had not been smooth for the team but things will get better soon.
“We are aware of the tight corner we are as a team presently, how one more game without win will put us in the relegation zone but we don’t want the players and coaches to put themselves under any pressure.
“Our next game against Adamawa United will be very tricky as the northern team are yet to win a match this season but if we play our game, we will get the win.
The Church Boys will look to put their recent woes behind them when they welcome bottom placed team, Adamawa United to the soccer temple on Sunday.
He furthered assured the team of the supports from the Lagos fans.
“No shaking, we’re strongly behind the team and we want the players to be strong for us, enjoy themselves on the pitch but at the same time go for the win on Sunday.”
