There were two away wins in Wednesdays Rescheduled Midweek Nigeria Professional Football league (NPFL) fixtures held on March 20, 2019.
Kano Pillars successfully plotted an away win as they team defeated Kada City 0-2. Goals from
Adamu Hassan in the 11th minute and Nyima Nwagua in the 62nd minute was enough for the Masu Gidas.
In Yobe, Abia Warriors were 1-3 Victors over their host Yobe Desert Stars.
Nigeria’s eliminated CAF Champions League campaigners, Lobi Stars returned to winning ways with a 2-1 home win over Rivers United. Goals from Sikiru Alimi and Michael Stephen made Rivers United Cletus Emotan goal to be a mere consolation goal.
Katsina United held MFM FC of Lagos to a 1-1 draw. Chijioke Akuneto had earlier given the Lagos based club a 44th minute lead befor Martin’s Usule equalised for the host in the 70th minute.
The league is scheduled to resume after next weekend supplementary elections.
