Coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu pf Heartland has described his side’s win against Mountain of Fire Miracles Football of Lagos at the Agege Township Stadium as ”a revenge.”
The former national U-23 team assistant coach spoke with pressmen after the game to have his say on his team’s win against his former side.
Asked what his thoughts were after the game, Ilechukwu said ”they (MFM) won last season at my home, today it is a revenge. We lost season and now we have beaten them so to me, it is 1-1.”
Goals from Adachi Emmanuel and Jimoh Gbadamosi gave the Naze Millionaires tjeir first their points of the season away from home after five games.
Emmanuel’s eight minutes goal from the penalty spot had been cancelled in the 46th minutes by Muyiwa Balogun before Gbadamosi scored Heartland’s second at the Soccer Temple.
It is coach Ilechukwu’s third win of the season after nine games and the result takes he and his team move to sixteenth on the log pending Ifeanyi Ubah’s match against Kano Pillars on Monday.
