Coach Imama Amamakpabo can heave a sigh of relief after his team secured it first point of the season at the Nnewi Stadium against FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
After four games without a win or even a draw, the Abia side got their first point going away.
With a three match ultimatum given by the management of Abia Warriors it a game the team needed to get something out to save the coach’s head.
Just like a team with intent to win, the warriors scored as early as the 9th minutes of the game through Samuel Christian.
Abia Warriors held on to the lead in what seemed like they were going to get their first win, but Christian Molokwu ended that dream in the 76th after putting the score at 1-1.

The Sai Masu Gida side had not lost prior to this time, but an Enyimba side with nine changes to the team that lost to Heartland were on the ascendancy to end the run.
Iwuala Anayo and Gabriel Orok scored in the 21st and 36th minutes of the game to hand the lead to the 8-time champions of the league.
However, Fahad Usman provided a consolation for the away side four minutes to the end of the game.
