Nasarawa United ended Abia Warriors eight match unbeaten run as they defeated the Umuahia based side 5-3 in their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week 18 tie.
Silas Nwankwo’s hat-trick coupled with goals from Ikenna Offor and Chinedu Ohanachom guided Nasarawa United to a big win.
A brace from Niger Republic’s Fatai Abdullahi and a goal from Godwin Obaje for Abia Warriors could not reduce them from their first defeat in eight games.
Adamawa United and Wikki Tourist played out a goalless draw.

Plateau United pipped Enugu Rangers 2-1 with goals from Oche Ochowechi and Daniel Itodo after Godspower Aniefiok had equalised for Rangers.
Godwin scored the winning goal for Rivers United as they defeated Sunshine Stars to compound their visitors eleven game winless streak.
Warri Wolves got the better of FC Ifeanyi Ubah with a 3-1 victory. Goals from Uche Ihuarulam, Eru Jackson, and Emeka Uzor ensured that
Matthew Emmanuel’s goal for the visitors was a mere consolation.
Kwara United maintained their leadership position at the top of the table with 33 points from 18 games, the same point with Kano Pillars.
