In Uyo, Dakadda International got four pass struggling side, Adamawa United. Moses Effiong had scored in the 1st minute only for Eka Unegbe of Adamawa to restore parity in the 11th minutes. Effiong scored his second in the 17th minutes to give Dakadda International the lead. Femi Ajayi increased the lead in the 56th while Moses Effiong completed his hat trick in the 67th minutes to complete the riot.
Kwara United got their second win at home since swooping places with Delta Force as they defeated Abia Warriors. Two late goals from Alamayo Abdulrazaq and Stephen Adah gave the Ilorin Boys the win.
Kano Pillars seemed to have claimed the three points against Warri Wolves but Charles Atsimene reduced the points to one to the chagrin of the home fans at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
The goal came in the 90th minutes making sure Kano Pillars’ s winning streak at home since their resurgence ended.
The game between Nasarawa United and Ifeanyi Ubah recorded four penalties in a five-goal thriller which ended as 3-2 in favour of Nasarawa United at the Lafia Stadium.
Abubakar Lawal had opened scoring in the 12th through a penalty. Esosa Igbinoba made it two for the home side in the 46th minutes. Jimoh Badamosi of Ifeanyi however reduced the deficit in the 51st minutes through a penalty. Abubakar scored another penalty to make it 3-1 in the 59th minutes. Jimoh stepped up in the 61st minutes to score another penalty to keep the score at 3-2.
Wikki Tourist’s Manu Garba scored in the 13th minutes for the home side but Joseph Atule’s 86th minutes goal sealed a point for Katsina United. It ended 1-1.
Heartland FC of Owerri triumphed in the oriental derby two goals to one. Abiodun Thompson of Heartland equalised in 54th minutes after Traore Issif’s 47th goal for Rangers. Sadiq Abubakar scored in the 85th minutes to give coach Ilechuckwu’s side the win.
Rivers United made the home advantage count as they defeated MFM FC of Lagos 2-0.
Ossy Martins and Nelson Esor scored in the 28th and 48th minutes to give the Rivers side the win.
In other games, Enyimba were pummeled by Plateau United 4-0 in Jos. Akwa United defeated Jigawa Golden Stars 1-0 away from home while Lobi outshone Sunshine stars in Makurdi. Read more on these matches here.
