Jigawa Golden Stars came from a goal down to draw defending champions, Enyimba in match day 10 of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) in Kano.
Enyimba had scored in the 4th minutes through Victor Mbaoma, but Mannie Ube restored parity in the 42nd minutes to keep the game at 1-1 as the game ended that way.
Enyimba, who are yet to get an away win this season so far looked set to get three points but couldn’t after four matches away from home this season.
Meanwhile, for Enyimba’s goal scorer it only gets better for him as he scored against Rivers United in the 1-0 win and the only goal in Enyimba’s lost in Uyo against Dakada International FC.
As a result, Victor Mbaoma, the goal scorer for Enyimba has now scored in four consecutive matches making the first player to score in four consecutive NPFL matches this season.
The draw against Jigawa Golden Stars keeps the eight-time champions of the league in third place for the time being.
For Jigawa Golden Stars, the draw keeps them at seventeenth on the log with 10 points.
Enyimba play their next game against Paradou of Algeria on 29th December in the caf confederation cup.
