Eastern sides, Heartland FC of Owerri and Abia Warriors of Abia State earned three points in Monday’s match day 10 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) games played at Okigwe Stadium.
Heartland FC were two nil winners against Lobi Stars of Makurdi while in a later game, Abia Warriors edged it over Rangers International by a goal to nothing.
Chidera Ezeh scored a screamer from a free kick in the 36th minutes to put the Naze Millionaires in front at their home ground.
By the second half, Samuel Nnosiri made things easier as he doubled the lead for the Imo based team in the 56th minutes.
Nnosiri headed in Kelechi Chimezie’s assist.
The result means this is the fourth win of the season for the Naze Millionaires and this makes it the 5th game without a win for Lobi.
Abia Warriors bounce back to victory after last week’s lost by having one ahead of eastern rivals, Rangers International of Enugu.
Paul Samson’s 25 yard curler in the 23rd minutes settled scores at the Okigwe Stadium between the two teams.
The Warriors were a man down as Daniel Wotlai was sent off for a foul on Chiamaka Madu in the 58th minutes.
Nevertheless, the warriors pushed as the goal scorer’s free kick almost doubled their lead as it struck the post.
They remained resolute to get all three points at the end of proceedings.
