The General Manager of Heartland FC of Owerri Chief Chukwudi Ifeanyi says the team is gradually getting better with the addition of few fresh legs after the lift of the worrying FIFA ban.
Addressing Okigwe fans who joined to jubilate with the team after its victory against Lobi Stars of makurdi at the Okigwe Township Stadium said the introduction of few fresh legs into the team upped its performance and is gradually placing the team where it is expected to be.
He said there was improvement in play as well as addition of quality against Lobi showing there was positive recruitment done abinitio.
The GM extolled the players for rising up to the occasion to play with such confidence as if they where at home even when it was their first league game at the Okigwe township stadium this season.
Chief Ifeanyi commended the team’s Technical Adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu and his bench for meeting up with the bidding as the boys are now gradually picking up their instructions.
He noted that when all the teams new players gets involved in the work plan Heartland would be the team to beat anywhere in the ongoing league season and urged all relevant stakeholders in Imo to rally support for the team.
