It was a pulsating match at the All England finals as tennis top two seeds in the Roger Federer and Novak had a go at each other.

It was the world number one who nicked it at the end of a five sets match in a game that lasted for almost five at 6-7(5), 6-1, 6-7(4), 6-4 , 7-6 (4).

It’s Novak 5th Wimbledon which sees him equal Borg & Laurie Doherty in 4th place on all-time list and beats Federer for a 5th consecutive time.

Roger Federer started very well but too many errors by the Switzerland man gave the Serbian 7-6(5) win to take the first set after a tie-break in a sensational way.

However, Federer outsmarted his opponent in the second set beating Novak 6-1.

The third set went to a tie break and the Serbian again made it count with 7-6(4), after another round of slips by Federer.

Federer has always found it difficult to win a game against Novak after going down in a set as in 15 games, he has only won 1.

Despite Novak having his first break point in the fourth set, Roger Federer took it, 6-4 in a match game that had signs of going to five sets.

The fifth set and the seventh game was breath taking as two players made it a top class finish.

Prior to the match, the last decade has produced only one other men’s final that has gone to five sets and that game was between Federer and Djokovic.

Djokovic and Federer have faced each other 47 times with Djokovic leading 25–22 (9–6 in Grand Slams).

To move to the finals, Federer defeated Lloyd Harris,Jay Clarke, Lucas Pouille, Matteo Berrettini, Kei Nishikori and Rafael Nadal to get to the final.

While Djokovic defeated Philipp Kohlschreiber, Denis Kulda, Hubert Hurkacz, Ugo Humbert, David Goffin and Roberto Bautista.
