Created in 2014 by Foncha Street veteran club, they were defeated in the finals last season by Rainbow FC. With the coming in of coach Anumewa Franklin this season, they are a side to reckon with as they had a good run in the cup of Cameroon.

Hilltop Strikers on their part saw off a stubborn Kumbo Highlanders side 3#1 on aggregate to book a semi finals ticket. Bookmakers will consider them the underdogs but they are optimistic of creating an upset. They are among the highest scoring teams in the league.

Rainbow FC Vs Universal Soccer Academy

Coach Ngwa Remy versus coach Soh Simplis. Two coaches who always keep their coaching zone animated. The match is the defending champions against the new comers.
Rainbow FC will want to replicate their last season triumph and to do that they will have a resilient Universal Soccer Academy side in front of them. In the quarter finals, Rainbow defeated Grassland FC 3#0 on aggregate.

Universal Soccer Academy FC on their part are in their first playoff experience after gaining promotion to the regional league at the end of last season. Getting to this level means that they can’t be taken for granted. The boys of coach Marechal got to this level thanks to a decision by the homologation and discipline committee of FECAFOOT North West which sanctioned SIMAF FA for using a using a Universal Soccer Academy’s player that has not been liberated and double identity of same player. SIMAF FA had earlier won the quarter finals 5#4 on penalties. Universal Soccer Academy will therefore want to make maximum use of this decision and play the finals.

The semi finals of the North West Regional Playoffs will be played on home and away bases in Bambili just like the quarter finals. The first leg comes up this Sunday July 7th from 12:00pm.
