Matches counting for the 3rd day of play of the North West Regional league we’re played Wednesday May 15th 2019 with the following results recorded;
In pool A, SIMAF FA of Mbengwi imposed their superiority over Mankon United thrashing them 4-0. SIMAF FA has won all their two group A matches while Mankon United is yet to record a single point in the championship. In the second pool A match, Rangers FC Bafut beat Bafmeng United 1-0. This is the second defeat recorded by Bafmeng United while Rangers of Bafut on their part picked up their second victory of the season. Meanwhile Nkwen FC was on standby in the group.
In Pool B, Kumbo Highlanders picked up their first victory of the championship with a 1-0 win against Grassland FC. The match between Highland Rangers versus Santos FC was postponed due to Santos FC’s involvement in the cup of Cameroon round of 32.
In Pool C, the match Foncha Street FC against Ebaidino was postponed due to Foncha Street involvement in the cup of Cameroon.
In a hotly contested match in this group, Universal Soccer Academy FC were on top form against FC Bamenda. Going down to 10 man with two goals on either side and 20 minutes to the end of the game, Universal Soccer Academy FC scored a free kick to grab all three points of the day. The victory takes Universal Soccer Academy to the top of the group with 6points pending the other delayed group game.
In pool D, Akam Sports Academy recorded their first point of the season with a zero all tie against Kumbo Strikers. In the second group game, Hilltop Strikers played a two all tie against Rainbow FC.
The league is expected to enjoy a one week break before resuming with day four matches.
