Under-17 Lions of Cameroon’s most experienced forward Samuel Nongoh has scored his first goal in the new era.
The 2019 FIFA World Cup participants and forward for the current squad scored one of the three goals as the Under-17 Lions recorded a three-nil victory against local side TAD Sports Academy of Yaoundé on Monday at the CAF Excellence center in Mbankomo-Cameroon.
Nongoh set Cameroon en route to victory with a 28th minute strike before goals from Taling Fouodjoum and Jemea Soppo completed the job.
The AS Dauphine Academy of Douala forward is the only surviving member of the Cameroon squad that participated in the 2019 Under-17 FIFA World Cup in France.
He has participated in both camp with the new generation but was restricted to cameos in the first camp due to sickness.
On Monday in his first start, the 16-year old flying winger scored his first goal for the Anicet Mbarga Foe-coached Lions.
The Under-17 Lions broke the second camp this Tuesday to return in under two weeks for further preparations for the upcoming UNIFFAC tournament planned for this February.
