The spokesperson for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Kennedy Boakye Ansah has denied the media reports that Sogne Yacouba has extended his contract with the club.
There has been series of media reports that the Burkina Faso attacker has renewed his contract with Kumasi Asante Kotoko with a one year contract extension but the club’s spokesperson has denied it.
According Kennedy, there has not been any official communication between Yocouba’s agent and the management of Kotoko.
“It is never true Yacouba has extended his contract with Asante Kotoko neither have we agreed on any terms. It is non existent as we speak.
Let’s not do anything that will pile pressure on the player and the club.” He said
He also explained that the club does not want to give much attention to the issue because Yabouba is still their player and they are in talks with him.
“We do not want to give too much attention to Sogne Yacouba and his contract issues.
We are still in talks with him for a possible renewal. He is our player and we are interested in extending his stay.”
Kennedy Boakye Ansah added that, there has not been any official communication to the team’s management whether he (Yacouba) has lowered his demands even though the circles leadership is in talk with his agent.
“Officially there’s no communication to management whether he has lowered his demand though we are aware of talks between his agents and the circles leadership”. Kennedy said
Kennedy BOAKYE Ansah made these revelations on KUMASI FM 104.1MHZ on Wednesday.
