According to Osun United Twitter handle (@omoluabigiants) on Friday, the Nigeria National League (NNL) has restored their three points against Vandezzer FC.
This is after the game was declared null and void as well as being expected to be played at a neutral venue due to fracas and influx of crowd at the stadium during Osun United’s 2-1 win.
Vandezzer FC’s media cameras and equipment were reportedly destroyed and players denied entry into the dressing room at halftime.
The Club also alleged that the penalty awarded to Osun United which resulted in their second goal was controversial.
Osun United after their banishment to Ilorin for their home games decided to appeal their fine and banishment stating that Vandezzer FC mobilized home fans to the stadium with radio jingles announcing free merchandise.
As we await an official statement from NNL, www.kick442.com will keep you posted on the latest development.
