Remo Stars secured their first win after the death of their defender and vice Captain, Tiamiyu Kazeem. The Ogun state based club on Thursday, March 5, 2020, defeated Ijebu United FC 2-1. Donatus Ikumo gave Remo Stars the lead in the 27th minute before Ugo Iwala pegged them back with a 39th minute equaliser for Ijebu United FC. Remo Stars scored the winning goal in the 61st minute via Opeyemi Adegbite’s strike.

In another friendly match involving another Nigeria National League (NNL) club, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Oyo State defeated Stationery Stores by a lone goal. Nafiu Raheem scored the only goal for 3SC in the 66th minute.
