Super Falcons of Nigeria and Paris FC goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for French D1 Arkema (French women’s league) goalkeeper of the season.
The former Rivers Angels goalie was nominated alongside four other goalkeepers; Mylene Chavas (Bordeaux), Christiane Endler (Lyon), Cosette Morche (Issy), and Barbora Votikova (PSG).
Nnadozie who joined Paris FC last season from Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Champions, Rivers Angels has played an important role as the club finished in the fourth position, a place and seven points short of UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) qualification.
This season, she has helped her side clinch qualification for the UEFA Women’s Champions League Qualifiers with 44 points in the third position, ten points ahead of fourth-placed Fleury 91.
Chiamaka Nnadozie played 15 league games last season and had topped it up with 19 this season, featuring in all Paris FC league games.
A major adversary for Chiamaka Nnadozie as far as this award is concerned is arguably the best goalkeeper in the world, Lyon’s Christiane Endler whose side has only conceded eight goals while Paris FC has conceded 18 in 19 games.
