12-year-old Buruj Sports Academy midfielder, Da-asawo Dappa says he is proud to play in the third tier Nationwide One along with older players.
The British International School (BIS) Basic seven (J.S.S 1) student opined that sometimes he might be scared playing with older players.
“I feel proud of myself and I also feel and I can do better. Sometimes, I used to be scared but now I have confidence in myself that I can compete with them.” He told www.kick442.com.
Da-asawo Dappa asserted that his parents supported his career and he is mixing football well with academics.
He said: “My parents support my career. They go through the struggle of getting all the necessary things for me. I am mixing football with school very well. When I don’t have a tournament or match, I go to school physically but if a match or tournament falls upon the time of my school I do online studies.”

Da-asawo Dappa didn’t score a goal at the Ikenne centre of the 2021 Nationwide League One (NLO) but had an assist for his Club.
He is optimistic about playing in Europe in the next five years.
“Hopefully by then I will be playing for one of the big teams in Europe and I will be fulfilling my dreams.” He concluded.
