The President of Gidado Football Club, Alhaji Afase Babatunde Salihu has acquired a brand new car for the technical crew of the club ahead of the new NLO season.
Alhaji Afase noted that his decision to buy the official car was informed by the need to strengthen the technical department of the club and to also enhance their effectiveness.
“We have bought this car to enhance the mobility of our coaches and this is just the beginning of some of the initiative meant to develop our club to meet the required standard,” said the business mogul and a philanthropist.
He gave the assurance that he will not relent in his efforts towards the development and success of young and talented players saying the best way to take the youth out of the street is to engage them in a productive venture.
Speaking on behalf of the coaches, the Technical Adviser of the club, Baale Amosa lauded the President for his commitment and dedication towards the development of the club adding that they will justify the confidence reposed on them.
Amosa expressed the readiness of the players for the new season noting that the promotion to NNL will surely be achieved.
Gidado FC has been drawn alongside seven other teams; Abraysports FC, Olisa FC, Juvenile FC, Almar FC, Akure City FC, Estate FC, and Positive Football Academy in one of the NLO 2020/2021 groupings with centre billed for Federal Polytechnic Stadium, Ado-Ekiti in Ekiti State.
The NLO new season has been scheduled to commence on Sunday 7th of March,2021 across all the centres in Nigeria.
