Stade Renard's captain Nkuissi Legrand

The captain of Stade Renard of Melong Nkuissi Thomas Legrand has told it gives him satisfaction to have stepped out from his duty post to score a late goal that gave his club a point against APEJES on Sunday in their first game of the ongoing League 1 title Playoffs.

Legrand Canecelled APEJES’ first half lead with a fine low effort to beat Goalkeeper Hecoube of APEJES taking his season tally to 2 goals this season and 4 goals in the last 2 seasons.

I feel happy because we are returning to Melong with something to show for our efforts in this game,it was not easy against a tactically balanced APEJES side but this point give us something to build on going forward. Personally I feel this goal matters a lot to my family and I dedicate it to my new born baby.”

Legrand’s long time fiance got a baby two months ago, Bebe Nkussi Parfait and Mum Distelle Dauville are all waxing strong.

Thomas Legrand and his mates will face Donlap Academy in a cup of Cameroon game on Wednesday before returning to Yaounde to face rivals UMS of Loum in their second title playoffs game.
