Made Permanent captain of Stade Renard of Melong in the buildup to the 2018/2019 season,Stade Main man at the back,Nkuissi Thomas Legrand is aiming for back to back positive results away from home when his side visits Astres of Douala this weekend in Limbe.
A week after his got his first goal of the season from the penalty spot against Fovu of Baham, Legrand had told kick442.com that he and his mates will be coming to Limbe this weekend to fight for maximum points though they know Astres is a “dangerous customer” in fine form.
“It is obviously going to be a big game, last year we beat them at home and away and I scored thanks to the efforts of the entire team, that gives confidence ahead of a derby like this one though it is also a warning signal as our opponents can plan a revenge against us.”
“Astres has a good team with some good players I respect but on Sunday,we will play to instructions and make sure we do our best to get maximum points, winning back to back games gives you more than just 6 points in this League. It is not easy but we will fight for that this Sunday in Limbe” Legrand told kick442.com
Last season he was Stade Renard’s main man at the back with 32 games played in a 34 games season and was on multiple occasions one of the first picks in the LFPC team of the week.
The defensive set up of Aloukou Thierry, Nkuissi Thomas,Steve Roberto Nkueni and Nana Patrice is still to conceed a goal in open play this season and face an Astres side that have won their last 2 games.
