Colombe of Dja and Lobo have picked up their first victory of the 2020-2021 Cameroon Elite One championship season.
The boys of coach Fils Ondobo recorded a 2-1 victory at home to struggling YOSA in match-day six of the championship.
Colombe came into the encounter needing a result as they were on a run of five games without a win.
Skipper Federick Etoumbang put the host ahead in the 23rd minutes of the game, crowning a period of dominance for the Colombe side piloted by Georges Belamo in the middle of the park.
12 minutes later, Nkembe Enow who scored the lone goal in last weekend against Astre scored again. This time around he made it two-nil for the host.
The first have ended on a 2-0 advantage though YOSA had plans to fight back.
Jean Claude Laimo halfed the deficit in the 69th minute but at 2-1, Colombe who led a lead slid twice this season defended better.
The game ended on a 2-1, thus earning the first win of the season and first under coach Fils Ondobo who replaced Jules Abah Onana just under a month ago.
Colombe are currently ranked 6th in the championship, with five points from six games ahead of their match-day seven clash against APEJES of Mfou who lost to UMS this weekend.
YOSA returns home to prepare for their next fixture at home to Panthere with hopes of getting a win to lift them off the bottom of pool B having picked up just four points from five outings.
Martin Nkabyo’s men will be looking at extending their unbeaten run in Bamenda to 26 games.
Adoum Deffalah on second debut for YOSA conceded twice while Colombe’s Nkembe counts two goals in five appearances.
